I. Library Overview

The Harbin Engineering University Library Qingdao Branch is located on the west side of Building No. 11. It features various functional spaces including reading and study areas, collection lending areas, and leisure zones.The library's collection primarily covers disciplines such as natural sciences and social sciences, with particular strength in literature related to the university's key fields like Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Marine Information, Nuclear Science and Technology. This reflects a focus on both comprehensiveness and distinctive features, providing ample document resource support for students' professional studies, humanistic quality development, scientific research, and innovation activities.

The HEU Library Qingdao Branch currently holds a collection of over 130,000 physical volumes. It subscribes to 131 Chinese and foreign databases, including SCI, EI, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, IEL, and CNKI. The library provides access to 79,100 types of full-text e-journals, 4.8545 million e-books, and over 17.006 million electronic theses and dissertations.While maintaining a focus on key and distinctive areas, the collection development has also strengthened resources for humanistic quality education. The library offers services such as citation search and information literacy lectures to support students' research needs.

(2) North Stack Room, 2nd Floor (Humanities and Social Sciences Lending Area)

Book Types: Philosophy, Economics, Literature, History, Management, Law, Art, etc.

Classification Numbers: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K

III. Borrowing and Returning

Borrowing: Follow and bind your account to the "Harbin Engineering University Library Service" WeChat official account. Then you can use the scan-to-borrow function to borrow books directly.

Returning: Return books to the book return cart in the South Stack Room on the 2nd floor before the due date.

IV. Reader Services

The Library Office is Room 230. It provides services including reader inquiries, manual book returns, citation search, card management, late fee payment, and book loss/damage compensation.
