The Qingdao Innovation and Development Base of Harbin Engineering University (hereinafter referred to as the "Qingdao Base") is jointly established by Harbin Engineering University and the Qingdao Municipal People's Government. It is located in the University Town of the picturesque Guzhenkou Integration and Innovation Zone in West Coast New Area. The campus features smart classrooms of various specifications, multi-functional meeting rooms, and flexible, open discussion spaces, all equipped with advanced audio-visual facilities to fully support diverse teaching and conference needs. Sports venues and exhibition spaces provide diverse scenarios for cultural and sports activities. The communication center, student apartments, and featured restaurants together form an integrated service chain of "training - meetings - catering - accommodation," ensuring seamless connectivity. The campus is equipped with comprehensive living amenities. I. Meeting Room Services

Qingdao Base currently has a total of 27 various meeting rooms, including 5 large meeting rooms, 12 medium-sized meeting rooms, 7 small meeting rooms, and 3 reception rooms, with capacities ranging from 10 to 600 people. The meeting rooms can be flexibly arranged and are equipped with professional multimedia equipment and a conference service team, adequately meeting diverse meeting needs such as seminars, symposiums, lectures and industry exchanges.

II. Smart Classrooms and Discussion Rooms

The Base has a total of 91 various classrooms and discussion rooms, including 1 tiered classroom for 180 people, 9 large classrooms for 114-160 people, 19 medium-sized classrooms for 60-90 people, 26 small classrooms for 30 people, 3 Siemens computer labs (accommodating 204 people in total), 17 standard classrooms, and 16 discussion rooms for 24-34 people. Classrooms and discussion rooms are equipped with advanced facilities such as smart blackboards, sound systems, visual presenters, and standard recording and broadcasting systems, creating an intelligent, high-standard learning environment that facilitates efficient teaching and research.

III. Dining Services

The Yue Hai Ge Restaurant has an open layout and multiple functions. The first floor offers standard service windows providing nutritious and delicious daily meals; the second floor gathers specialty snacks from various regions of China, creating a diverse campus food court. The second floor also features 6 private rooms, catering to diverse dining needs for groups of 4 to 24 people. Additionally, it includes a multi-function hall and a banquet hall, equipped with a stage, large screen, and sound system, supporting large-scale events such as conferences, performances, group meals, and wedding banquets for 60 to 200 people.

IV. Accommodation and Living

1. Student Apartments

The Qingdao Base currently has four student apartment buildings, offering various room types including two-person suites, four-person rooms, and eight-person rooms. Each dormitory room is equipped with a private bathroom, balcony, air conditioning, and complete furniture (including storage cabinets, shelves, etc.). Among these, the two-person rooms are configured as suites, with each suite comprising a shared living room, three separate bedrooms, and one bathroom, balancing privacy and social interaction. The apartment buildings are equipped with public facilities such as shared laundry rooms, women-only washing machines, study rooms, shower rooms, and hot water rooms. The service desk on the first floor operates 24 hours, ensuring a safe and convenient living environment.

2. Communication Center

The university's Communication Center has a total of 262 guest rooms, with room types including executive king rooms, standard twin rooms, family rooms, and multi-function rooms, all with complete facilities. The center provides supporting services such as optional breakfast, professional concierge, and daily housekeeping, committed to creating a comfortable accommodation experience for guests.

V. Sports Venues

The sports facilities at the Qingdao Base are configured according to national standards. Adhering to the service philosophy of "Safeguards and Opening" – ensuring teaching, training, and exercise for students and staff – the sports venues are open for paid use during non-teaching hours and can host competitions, performances, and large-scale events.

l Indoor Venues: Include 8 badminton courts, 8 table tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, and 2 volleyball courts.

l Outdoor Venues: Include 9 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, 3 volleyball courts, 3 soccer fields, and 1 athletics field.

VI.Commercial and Convenience Services

The campus hosts two supermarkets, Liqun Supermarket and JD Supermarket, located next to the student apartments and the dining hall respectively. Additionally, vending machines are deployed in areas such as teaching buildings and dormitories, comprehensively covering the daily shopping needs of students and staff. Cainiao Post and SF Express service points provide convenient parcel sending and receiving services. Furthermore, the Base has introduced diverse businesses including specialty snack shops, popular beverage stores, snack shops, barbershops, print shops, and telecommunication service provider outlets, constructing a complete campus living ecosystem.

VII."Qing Cheng" Affordable Home Services

1. Cleaning Services: Provides routine cleaning such as indoor cleaning, tidying up items, dusting and stain removal, window cleaning, and carpet cleaning.

2. Maintenance Services: Cover inspection and repair of water, electricity, and heating systems; repair of lights and sockets; drain unclogging; as well as maintenance and installation of indoor facilities like desks, chairs, doors, windows, hardware, ceilings, and wooden doors.

VIII. Transportation

The campus is equipped with a shared bicycle system covering the main teaching and living areas, facilitating convenient commuting within the campus for students and staff.A bus hub is located at the university gate, with multiple bus routes providing direct access to the city center and subway stations, enabling efficient connection between campus and urban transportation.
