It is equipped with a synchronous towing system at the top, side, and bottom of the working section of the pool, all of which can achieve a maximum towing speed of 1.5 m/s for synchronous operation. 101 Small Structure Pool serves the fine flow field and macromechanical performance tests of ships, is equipped with binocular structured light projection free liquid level measurement system, fine flow field measurement system for particle image velocimetry, and Six-DOF load measurement system, can synchronously carry out the measurement test of wavemaking height field, liquid phase velocity field, and resistance performance of ship navigation, and can simultaneously test the fine flow field and macroscopic mechanical properties of ships. The construction of the Pool can provide data support for the optimization design of surface and underwater ship types and appendages, and provide theoretical guidance for improving important indicators such as ship navigation speed, seakeeping quality, and safety.
