Theexperimental conditions oftheQingdao Base are mainly oriented to underwater unmanned and intelligent technology, underwater propulsion,remote operated vehicle, fluid mechanics, multi-physics field communication and detection, camouflage and stealth technology, advanced marine material, new marine sensor, and other research directions. The Experimental Science Development Research and Service Center has been established to strengthen the top-level architecture, gathering thewisdom and power of talents from multiple disciplines, and serving the integratedinterdisciplinary development, thereby fully opening and sharing experimental resources. We gather such talents to carry out the integratedinterdisciplinary development focusing on marine informationand underwater unmanned technology and push forward original innovation andcore technology andthe resolution ofbottleneck problems. TheQingdao Base has cultivated a group of high-level experimental scientists for Harbin Engineering University,for thedisciplines and industries, and for the nation at large by promoting the integration of disciplines and experimental technologies as well as exploring advanced testing and experimental technologies thusproviding strong support for scientific research

Experimental conditions for ten directions have beenestablished, including mechanical analysis, series of tanks, organic analysis, inorganic analysis, micro-nano machining, micro-zone analysis, optical analysis, acoustic analysis, electromagnetic analysis, and sea trial. The research and experimental site covers a total area of over 120,000 square meters, with a cumulative investment of over RMB 184 million in purchasing instruments and equipment.
