The Institute of Marine Environment and Its Experiment Research, focusing on the fields of marine environment and equipment, primarily conducts scientific research and seeks technological breakthroughs in directions of extreme wave mechanics, ship and underwater propulsion hydrodynamics, underwater explosion and shock mechanics, deep sea intelligent equipment, deep sea energy, etc. Targeting at the “bottleneck” scientific problems in shipbuilding and marine engineering of China, the institute is committed to providing strong fundamental research support for the development and engineering application of the high-end ship and marine equipment of China via the fundamental theoretical breakthrough, the localized industrial software development and the innovation of experimental testing methods and techniques.
